Ancient papermaking methods-Jinling Paper Machinery

　　Take the bamboo paper manufacturing method recorded in the ancient Chinese book "Tiangong Kaiwu" volume as an example for introduction. The steps of making paper with bamboo in ancient times are as follows:

　　1. Cutting the bamboo and floating pond

　　Chop the tender bamboo, put it in a pond, and soak it for more than 100 days, using natural microorganisms to decompose and wash away the green skin of the bamboo.

　　2. Boil your feet on fire

　　Put the bamboo obtained above into a 〝徨" barrel and cook with lime for eight days and eight nights.

　　3. Pills

　　Take out the bamboo treated above, put it in a stone mortar, and beat it with a stone mortar until the bamboo is broken, like a muddy surface.

　　4. Swing the material into the curtain

　　Pour the smashed bamboo material into the sink, and sway the material in the water with a bamboo curtain. The bamboo material becomes a thin layer attached to the bamboo curtain, and the rest of the water flows down the tank from the sides of the bamboo curtain.

　　5. Curtain pressing paper

　　Then the curtain is repeatedly passed, so that the wet paper falls on the board, and it becomes a sheet of paper. In this way, repeat the steps of swaying and covering the curtains to make thousands of wet paper stacks, and then add a wooden board to squeeze most of the water.

　　6. Through fire drying

　　Raise the wet paper one by one and dry it. The equipment for baking paper is to build an alley with adobe bricks, where a fire is built, and after the temperature of the adobe bricks rises, the wet paper is pasted and dried one by one. After drying, lift up to get into paper.
