　　The appreciation of the renminbi has reduced the import cost of paper-making wood pulp and waste paper, and has benefited a lot from companies that import wood pulp and waste paper as raw materials. In the composition of paper production, wood pulp accounts for approximately 65% to 75% of its production costs. For every 1% appreciation of the renminbi, the entire industry can reduce costs by 200 to 300 million yuan.

　　According to the survey, my country's per capita consumption in 2005 was 45 kg, which is 12 kg behind the global consumption. This year, from January to September, the pulp production of domestic enterprises above designated size was 18.58 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%. According to industry analysts, the consumption demand of the paper industry will not be lower than the GDP growth rate in recent years.
